700 kilometers from Bangkok the famous
bowl Samui is the largest island in an
archipelago of more than 80 islands that
includes the Anton national marine park.
It is Thailand's third-largest island
and is well known for its palm-fringed
beaches coconut groves and dense
mountainous rainforests.
It's also home to the luxury resort, high-end spas, and a vibrant nightlife scene that
attracts a younger crowd
until the late 20th century Samoa was
best known for its small community
engagement primarily and fishing and
harvesting coconuts.
However foreign
visitors discovered this island gem
development quickly followed
the busiest beaches including chaweng
which is filled with high-end resorts
and budget accommodations along with
scores of restaurants bars and shopping
venues.
When the Sun Goes Down this is one of
the most popular nightlife spots on the
island
there are also numerous attractions
interweb including sailing kayaking
scuba lessons and other water sports.
You
can stay on dry land and take the heart
in a cooking class. Try your skill at easy cards new goal
hiding track one of the most popular
high-adrenaline attractions on the
island or head to the jungle for an
easygoing elephant trail.
Lamai beach is also a popular spot and
is famous for its seafood restaurants
where you can eat the catch of the day
beside the sea for often quite
reasonable prices
Lamaya is also home to
hinder and Heaney I some fascinating
rock formations on Koh Samui's south coast.
Besides its lovely beaches, Samui is
also home to many other natural
attractions in fact I'm sitting on one
right now.
Translated as grandmother and
grandfather rods they have been a source
of mirth and fascination on the island
since they were discovered by the locals
many years ago art often imitates nature
but less opened its nature imitates art
don't visit if you are easily
embarrassed but otherwise this is a fun
photo to anti your tour of Koh Samui.
Once a haven for backpackers Samui is
better known now for its luxury
five-star resorts that can be found both
on the beaches and on the jungle-clad
mountains of the interior of the island
If you do want to escape your resort
there are many more places to explore on
the island make sure you visit Bo Porter.
Now one of the best places to visit here
in Samui is Fisherman's Village here in
Beaufort not only is it a great place to
shop it's also home to some very cool
bars and restaurants.
Both kinds of wood are really two places both
would beach and one of the oldest places
on the island the charming Fisherman's
Village which takes up the middle
section of the beach Fisherman's Village
is fast gaining a reputation for being
the most elegant and well-preserved
place on the island lined by old wooden
Chinese shop houses interspaced with a
few modern buildings that have been
designed to match the tone it retains a
distinctly Mediterranean feel
In fact, it
was the main French outpost on the
island for many years mixed in among the
shops are several boutiques and a wide
array of chic restaurants music clubs
bars and boutique hotels
not far from here is another must-see
attraction.
Or your sightseeing tour Esta muy should
include a visit to this place it's known
as what prior I in English which
translates to the temple of the Big
Buddha and as you can see it's aptly
named.
What prior was established in 1972 and
is highly revered among Buddhists when
you enter the temple you will see the
parking lots and souvenir shops or you
can purchase clothes caps and paintings
or stop for a snack inside the temple up
to the NARC there are pavilions
where buddha images are enshrined you
can pay respect to the buddha image with
Joss sticks and candles or cover the
image with a gold foil you can make
merit by offering food consumer goods to
the monks or even ask for a blessing
after going upstairs you will see the
famous prop guy or property code on a
gigantic Buddha image it is surrounded
by bells which you can beat with a
wooden stick to wish
besides paying respect you can also
enjoy the lovely views of the area
