Maha Sarakham University: An Educational and Cultural Hub


Mahasarakham University (MSU)
is a public university in Thailand located in Maha Sarakham province, about 470 kilometers northeast of Bangkok. It was established in 1963 as Mahasarakham Teachers Training College and gained university status in 1994.

MSU has two campuses: the Old Campus in Mueang Maha Sarakham District and the Kham Riang Campus in Kham Riang District. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in three academic clusters: social sciences; pure and applied sciences; and health sciences. MSU is notable for being the only Thai university to offer postgraduate programs in paleontology and a Bachelor of Arts in the Khmer language.
