The upcoming attractive festival in Thailand is the Songkran festival. Songkran's word is from the Sanskrit word Sankranti, signifying the sun's shift from one zodiac to another. This Songkran festival is celebrated in Thailand as the traditional New Year’s Day from 13 -16 April every year. On Songkran day.

Thai people celebrate by offering to the monk and it’s traditionally a time to visit and pay respects to elders, including family members, friends, and neighbors. The highlight of the Songkran festival is the throwing of water. Thai people roam the streets with containers of water or water guns, the powder posts themselves at the side of roads with a garden hose and drench each other and passersby as well as put

the powder on each other faces. Currently, the ways of throwing among young people change some of them roam on the street, and they will contain the water in their trunks and drive around and stop by to throw the water. 

April is the hottest month in Thailand; the Songkran festival is very famous for all Thai people to relieve the heat. The throwing of water originated as a way to pay respect to people, by capturing the water after it had been poured over the Buddhas for cleansing and then using this "blessed" water to give good fortune to elders and family by gently pouring it on the shoulder.

 In Bangkok, there are two places where teenagers will be gathering to celebrate the Songkran festival Khoa San road and Silom road. Other provinces are famous to set up and celebrate the Songkran festival and many tourists also like to visit such as Chaingmai province and Khonkean province.
