12 August 2013 is Thailand Queen’s Birth Day and it's Thailand mother's day. It’s an annual event. To celebrate Queen Birth Day, The large portraits of Queen Sirikit are displayed in some streets of Bangkok as an honor to the Queen.
Some of the streets are decorated with the flag and the light to twinkle and illuminate the night. 12 August is a National holiday. To celebrate Mother's Day most Thai people pay respect to mothers by giving jasmine garland to mom, special gifts, and taking mom to dinner, therefore some public transport is encouraged for people to use free of charge for mom on that day as well as some restaurant is a special discount on mother day if taking mom with.
Well, prepare to celebrate Thailand Queen’s Birth Day /Thailand Mother's Day in Bangkok by checking my previous review about the restaurant and places to go out. Happy Mother Day
