How beautiful Phra Sumen Fort
Phra Sumen Fort is one of many forts built by King Rama. Phra Sumen was constructed in 1783 when Bangkok was established as the new capital. The purpose of building the fort was to defend against potential naval invasions. 

Currently, Phra Sumen fort is one of two remaining forts. Adjoin the Phra Sumen Santichaiprakarn Park which lies between the fort and the Choa Phraya river makes it beautiful and suitable to chill out and walk around and looking the people do many activities in the evening as well as see the panoramic view. From Phra Sumen Fort and Santichaiprakarn Park, you can look over the river to see the Rama VII Bridge. Phra Sumen is one of the places that held the annual Loy Krathong festival. Phra Sumen is not far away from Grand Palace. Therefore, it is very easy that you can visit here by walk or by taking the tram ride.
