Wong Deung beach is one of the famous beaches of Samed Island, Rayong. The name Wong Deung in the Thai language means Moon Crescent which describes the shape of this beach. The water of this beach is shallow with sand at the bottom and crystal clear water with white sand on the seaside.
Therefore it’s good for swimming, and sunbathing. Water sports activities are provided here such as jet skies, and banana boats. Southeast of Bangkok around 220 kilometers, The island is far away about seven kilometers from the mainland. They have a dairy ferry service that leaves from Baan Phe, Taruaphe pier direct to Wong Duan beach, the ferries leave every 08.30, 11.30, and 15.30 hrs, and the ticket price is 70 baths.
